Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away, and every branch that does bear fruit, He prunes it so that it may bear more fruit ... I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing ... My Father is glorified in this, that you bear much fruit, and so prove to be My disciples. ~ John 15:2, 5, 8

But according to His promise, we are looking for new heavens and a new earth, in which righteousness dwells. Therefore, beloved, since you look for these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace, spotless and blameless. ~2 Pt 3:13-14

Father, I thank you that you love as as a father does -- you seek our good, you seek to grow us and mature us. Lord, I pray that you would prune me. I want to bear good fruit and keep bearing good fruit -- I want to abide in you and have you abide in me. Lord, please come and examine my life and bring your discipline and correction. I want to grow and mature in my faith, in the fruit I produce. Lord, I do look to the new heaven and the new earth and I pray I would be diligent to be found in peace, spotless and blameless, before you. Lord, I know I can't achieve righteousness without your saving grace and power, so Lord, come and cleanse me, like the refiner's fire. Thank you, Lord!
