Praying for our leaders

Now then, you kings, act wisely! Be warned, you rulers of the earth! Serve the Lord with reverent fear and rejoice with trembling. Submit to God's royal Son ... what joy for all who take refuge in Him! ~Ps 2:10-12

Father, I just want to lift up to you our president-elect, Mr. Obama. Father, I pray that you would fill him with Your wisdom, knowledge, and discernment. I pray he would delight in You. I pray he would seek Your face in reverent fear, I pray he would submit to your Son, find refuge in Your Son, find joy in Your Son. Father, I pray he be surrounded by wise counsel. I pray for his family -- help the move to Washinton to be a smooth one, I pray for an easy transition. I lift up his daughters as they adjust to a new school, a new town, and being the children of a president. Lord, give them grace. Thank you, Lord, for your provision and for your grace. We honour you, holy God, our Faher.
